First Medical Student Research and Service Symposium Set for Nov. 16

The first medical student Research and Service Symposium will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the CARE/Crawley Building atrium.

The event showcases research and community service work that second-year College of Medicine students conducted over the summer of 2011.

The symposium, planned as an annual event, has a twofold purpose: to provide incoming medical students a look at what kinds of summer opportunities are available—here and around the world—and to give faculty and staff a glimpse of student achievements and interests.
