UC Health Remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
For the 40th year, UC Health physicians, associates and staff and students from the College of Medicine met to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a memorial celebration held Friday, Jan. 13. The event featured music from local choir the Anointed Sons of God and a recitation from poet Manuel Allen.
Dean of the College of Medicine and Vice President for Health Affairs Thomas Boat, MD, spoke on the topic of "Equality in Health Care.
Clarence Pauley, vice president of human resources at UC Health University Hospital, emceed the event. Rev. Dock Foster, president of Unity Baptist Church, and Bishop Steven Scott, of J.W. Jones Center, received Spirit Awards.
A local choir, the Anointed Sons of God, performed at the 40th Annual MLK Jr. Memorial Celebration on Jan. 13.
