The Future of Nurse Anesthesia Education and Practice Webinar
The UC College of Nursing is hosting an interactive webinar from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 18. Paul Austin, PhD, 2001 College of Nursing alum and certified nurse anesthetist will outline the history, current state and future of nurse anesthesia education and practice. Participants will hear about current issues important to the specialty of nurse anesthesia, including direct reimbursement of nurse anesthetists and the move to outcomes-based reimbursement, changes in nurse anesthesia recertification requirements, faculty shortages, and the impact of health care reform.
