Pharmacy Seminar to Focus on New Vaccines
"Technologies for the Discovery of New Vaccines" is the next event in the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy's Seminars in Drug Development Series. The presenter is Jeff Ulmer, PhD, global head of external research and development at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics, Inc.
The seminar is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in Room 231 of the Health Professions Building. A reception honoring Ulmer will follow the seminar. Following the reception, Ulmer will conduct an interactive lecture titled, "Challenges in the Development of Vaccines."
The seminar is hosted by the MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Drug Development Track and the UC Student Chapter of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).

University of Cincinnati physicians and collaborators identified two specific weather patterns that increase headache and migraine risk and found the preventive medication fremanezumab (Ajovy) can reduce weather‑associated headaches. The findings will be presented at the American Headache Society Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando.
