A Nurse's Experience in Haiti
For three weeks this February, members of UC Healths Team Haiti are traveling to Port-au-Prince to staff the Bernard Mevs Project Medishare hospital. Last week emergency medicine physician Stewart Wright, MD, and emergency medicine pharmacist Nicole Harger, PharmD, shared their experience in the trips first week.
This week, University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) nurse Annie Schneider told us about her experience staffing the Bernard Mevs pediatric unit.

Local couple uses royalties from children's books to give gifts to kids in need

A local couple has found a unique way to give back to those in need this holiday season. Vic and Laura Troha wrote two children's books together, and this year, they are using the proceeds to buy Christmas gifts for Hamilton County foster kids. The couple are both graduates of the University of Cincinnati's College of Allied Health Sciences and met the day they graduated.
