In addition to earning her doctorate at UC, she was a fellow in the environmental health's nationally recognized Molecular Epidemiology in Children's Environmental Health training program sponsored by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
The Science Board, consisting of 21 voting members, provides advice to the FDA commissioner and other officials on scientific and technical issues. Daniel Acosta, PhD, a professor in the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, has been a member of the board since 2012.
