Hoxworth Opening New Downtown Center
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is celebrating the grand opening of its new Neighborhood Donor Center in downtown Cincinnati today at 105 E. Fourth St. (Fourth & Walnut Centre).
"The new state-of-the-art center is centrally located for those who live and/or work downtown. Our goal is always to make the blood donation process convenient for donors, says Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. "If fact, we will now begin offering shuttle service for downtown businesses who would like to send a small group of employees to donate.
The Downtown Neighborhood Donor Center is open 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and provides free parking for donors.
A grand opening celebration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Cincinnati Reds announcer Marty Brennaman will make an appearance at 5.
