UC and UC Health to Host Second Annual National Telehealth Conference

CINCINNATI—The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, UC Health and other local and regional partners will host the second annual National Telehealth Conference March 19-20, 2015.

The event, with six specialized tracks each day, offers a unique format allowing attendees the opportunity to examine innovative telehealth programs, how they are established and how these programs are sustained.

Sessions will be held at the UC College of Nursing, Procter Hall, 3110 Vine Street, Cincinnati.

The experiential learning nature of this conference offers health care providers, administrators, faculty and other innovators the opportunity to review telehealth applications at work. There are engaging sessions for telehealth novices to advance providers looking for new partnership ideas and outcomes that may be incorporated into their own operations.

Speakers include UC Academic Health Center faculty and UC Health clinicians and administrators, as well other national experts. Opening remarks will be provided by Dean Greer Glazer, PhD, UC College of Nursing; Interim Dean William Ball, MD, UC College of Medicine; and Richard Lofgren, MD, UC Health president and CEO.

Bill Woodson, a senior vice president and national thought leader for Sg2, will present the keynote address, "The Future of Health Care and the Role of Telehealth.”

Woodson co-leads Sg2’s Center for Strategic Planning, focusing on developments in health care strategy and growth. Sg2 is based in Skokie, Illinois. The firm’s analytics-based health care expertise helps hospitals and health system integrate, prioritize and drive growth and performance across the continuum of care.

Regular rate registration is $150 per person. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and break refreshments. Conference partner affiliates may attend for a rate of $100.

Continuing Medical Education credits have been approved for 10.75 AMA PRA CME Category 1 credits.
