GI Symposium March 7; First 50 Registrants Free
The UC Cancer Institutes Gastrointestinal Cancer Center is holding a Gastrointestinal Oncology Symposium from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Great Wolf Lodge, Mason. Sessions will include educational presentations on esophageal, stomach, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, small bowel, colorectal and anal cancer.
Joseph Herman, MD, from Johns Hopkins University; Bert Howard ONeil, MD, from the Indiana University School of Medicine; and Philip Philips, MD, PhD, from Karmanos Cancer Center, will be guest speakers. The first 50 registrants are free; the cost after that is $75 for physicians (free for residents and fellows). Registration is required. UC students organize free health clinic in community

The University of Cincinnati student chapter of Remote Area Medical held its annual free health clinic July 11-12 at St. Xavier High School. Medical, dental and vision care was offered to adults and children, with no income requirements or insurance needed.
