Pharmacy Students Host PPMI Week March 9-13

The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy’s Student Society of Health System Pharmacists (SSHP) will host a lecture series during the second annual Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative (PPMI) Week March 9 - 13. 

SSHP is the student arm of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

Faculty, preceptors and students and friends of the college are invited to attend the presentations, which take place in the Health Professions Building, Rooms 231 and 331.  

The PPMI speakers and topics are:

Monday, March 9: Tim Brown, PharmD, gives the keynote address, "The role of pharmacists in ambulatory care as it relates to PPMI and the state of healthcare today,” in Room 231.

Tuesday, March 10: Jessie Winter, PharmD, will present "Opportunities for new practitioners to get involved with PPMI” in Room 231.

Wednesday, March 11: Marcie Malone, PharmD, "PPMI involvement in a community hospital setting,” in Room 231.

Thursday, March 12: Jennifer Blanchard, PharmD, will present "The current VA inpatient clinical model and how it relates to PPMI” in Room 331.

Friday, March 12: Erin Rogers, PharmD candidate, will speak about her involvement on the policy and legislative advocacy group for ASHP and advocacy at the state level.

There will be overflow seating and streaming of the presentations in Room 331.
