College of Medicine Celebrates 13 Nationally Recognized Medical Professors

On Wednesday, Jan. 6, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine faculty and staff celebrated 13 medical professors who have been nationally recognized for being among the top 10 percent in their field. The event was hosted by William Ball, MD, College of Medicine dean and senior vice president for health affairs. 

The following 13 UC College of Medicine professors received the Patient Experience Excellence Award:

  • Michael Canos, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Stephen Dailey, MD – Orthopaedic Surgery 
  • Andrew Duker, MD – Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine 
  • Hugh Gloster, MD – Dermatology
  • Adam Ingraffea, MD – Dermatology 
  • Michael Holliday, MD – Family and Community Medicine  
  • Bradley Mathis, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Caroline Mueller, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Sona Sharma, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Barbara Vinegar, DPM – Surgery 
  • Abid Yaqub, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Nadia Yaqub, MD – Internal Medicine
  • Lee Zimmer, MD, PhD – Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

The faculty members were selected for being among the top 10 percent of clinical providers in the Press Ganey national database. Press Ganey provides patient experience measurement and performance analytics for more than 22,000 health care facilities.
