Transitions in Cancer Survivorship Care Conference March 12
The UC Cancer Institute is hosting the 2016 Cancer Survivorship Research and Best Practice Conference, titled "Transitions in Cancer Survivorship Care, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center, 151 Goodman Drive. Catherine Alfano, PhD, vice president of survivorship for the American Cancer Society, will be the keynote speaker. Other speakers include Tara Olive Henderson, MD, University of Chicago; Deborah Mayer, PhD, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill; Lynne Padgett, PhD, American Cancer Society; and Julie Silver, MD, Harvard Medical School.
Conference speakers will address transitions that occur along the cancer survivorship continuum, the gaps in coordination of care during transitions and strategies to improve and enhance the transition process between and among providers and settings.
The conference is aimed at any health care provider who specializes or has an interest in cancer survivorship. The cost is $120 for physicians, $85 for nurses and allied health professionals and $50 for residents and students.
