Bennett Leads AAMC s Central Group on Student Affairs
Aurora Bennett, MD, Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions in the College of Medicine, has been named chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges Central Group on Student Affairs (CGSA). In her role, Dr. Bennett will be involved in various national and regional conversations regarding issues of importance to student affairs offices in medical schools across the country. She will also serve as a member of the National Group on Student Affairs (GSA) steering committee. The Association of American Medical Colleges is a not-for-profit association dedicated to transforming healthcare through innovative medical education, cutting-edge patient care, and groundbreaking medical research. Its members comprise all 145 accredited U.S. and 17 accredited Canadian medical schools; nearly 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems, including 51 medical centers that are part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and more than 80 academic societies.
