Pharmacy Students Lead 5K Run/Walk September 16
Students from the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy have organized a UC Pharmacy and Health Awareness 5K Run/Walk to benefit student-led interprofessional clinics at ShelterHouse and St. Vincent de Paul. The run/walk is sponsored by Walgreens and takes place at 3 p.m. on Sept.16 at Sawyer Point Park, 705 E. Pete Rose Way.
Those wishing to participate can register at GetMeRegistered.com/Pharmacy5K. Early registration, prior to Sept. 1, is $20 for students and $25 for adults. From Sept. 2 through Sept. 11 registration is $25 for students and $20 for adults. The cost is $35 for everyone the day of the event. Children under 11 are free.
The first 100 registrants receive a free 2017-18 flu shot. Gift bags will be handed out while supplies last. Parking is free.
