Power was restored on the Reading Campus by 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, after a planned outage to repair the substation supplying electric power to the campus, Maintenance & Operations says. Emergency backup power operated during the outage.

UC digital design alum Shane Kearns is recently out with a "chelicious," photo-filled book with recipes for "100 Amazing Adventures in Grilled Cheese," including a dessert grilled cheese recipe. The book is based on his blog, and both book and blog helped him put his UC degree to work.

Palliative Care Fellowship Programs Train Physicians to Provide...

As palliative care programs in the United States continue to grow, providing options and support for patients and families dealing with serious, potentially life-limiting illness, the need for trained professionals to lead these efforts becomes apparent. Faculty at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center are addressing this need with the creation of two new Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Programs, aimed at training physicians to provide specialty-level palliative care to patients in a variety of settings.
