Based on Henry James’ classic ghost-story novella with Myfanwy Piper’s libretto, The Turn of the Screw tells the story of a young governess hired to care for two orphaned children at an isolated English country house. Shortly after her arrival, she is haunted by the malicious ghosts of a former valet and his lover, who she fears are stalking her innocent charges. Determined to save the children, the governess battles the supernatural while struggling with the apparent complicity of the children.

Non-invasive hysterectomy may lead to shorter survival rates

A new study co-authored by a University of Cincinnati (UC) resident physician and published in the Oct. 31 online edition of the New England Journal of Medicine shows that a non-invasive radical hysterectomy may lead to shorter survival rates than open surgery in women with early-stage cervical cancer.

UC researchers received federal grant for pediatric brain tumor...

Researchers at the University of Cincinnati (UC) James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy and Cincinnati Childrenâ s Hospital Medical Center have received a grant from the Department of Defense (DoD) to study pathways of drug delivery to pediatric brain tumorsâ specifically pediatric brain tumors known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
