UC-Hosted Conference Showcases Appalachian and Mother-Daughter Communication

About 100 communication scholars and practitioners will attend a national conference hosted by UC s Department of Communication Oct. 9-12. The event will include a personal touch that will highlight Appalachian women s individual stories of gender plus a presentation by a group of mother-scholars and their daughters aged 7-13.

UC Extends Wilkommen to German Ambassador

The United States and Germany have experienced some strained moments in light of the war in Iraq. UC s Richard Schade has arranged for Germany s Ambassador to the United States to visit UC and Cincinnati on Oct. 16-17 to discuss the future for the relationship between these two countries.

Dedication Service Held to Honor Body Donation Families

Representatives of the UC College of Medicine, and clergy from the Catholic, Jewish and Protestant faiths will honor those who have donated their bodies to the UC Body Donation Program at a ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 14.
