Albert Sabin, MD, Among 2012 Class of 'Great Ohioans'

Albert Sabin, MD, former distinguished service professor of pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Medicine and researcher at Children's Hospital (today known as Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center), was named as a Great Ohioan for his pioneering work in developing the oral, live polio vaccine.

New Neuroscience Developments at UC, UC Health

The UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute will soon have a new home. Construction begins this spring on a new $60.5 million, patient-centered facility that will bring together more than 100 faculty doctors and researchers with specialized staff.

Lindner Families Donate $30 Million to Benefit UC for a Behavioral Health Center

A $30 million gift from the Lindner families will establish the Craig and Frances Lindner Center of HOPE (Helping Other People Excel) in the UC Department of Psychiatry and help build a behavioral health center in Mason, Ohio. The behavioral health center will be jointly operated by The Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and the Lindner Foundation, and staffed by physicians from the UC College of Medicine.
