Section Leaders 2021-22
Piccolo
Mr. Colin McQuinn is entering his fifth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Information Systems and Aviation Technology. He has played the Piccolo in the marching band and basketball pep band for the past three years and plays flute in concert band and flute choir. Colin is also a sister of the Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, the band service sorority at UC. Outside of band, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing frisbee, and card games.

Clarinet
Saxophone
Mr. Andrew Brand is entering his fifth year at the University of Cincinnati and in the Bearcat Bands. He majors in Computer Engineering and has played the Alto Saxophone in marching band, jazz band, saxophone ensemble, and pep band. He graduated from London High School in London, Ohio where he was an Alto Saxophone in their marching band and concert band. In his free time, Andrew plays video and board games and watches Netflix with his roommates.
Mr. Brandon Moore is entering his fourth year as a member of the Bearcat Bands. He has played the tenor saxophone in marching band, pep band, and saxophone choir for three years. Brandon is majoring in environmental engineering and is a member of the society of environmental engineers. He is also a member of the Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma currently serving as the chapter’s academic chair. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and playing video games.

Trumpet
Mr. Roberto Baez is entering his fourth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Industrial Management. He graduated from Saint Joseph Central Catholic in Fremont, Ohio, where he was a part of the band. He has played trumpet in the marching band and basketball pep band at UC for the past three years and played in the concert band for the past four years. Outside of band, Roberto likes to lift, run, and play board games with friends.
Ben Seamon is going into his third year at the University of Cincinnati. He is majoring in Information Technology. He has been in band for as long as he can remember and is going into his tenth year of playing trumpet. He has played trumpet in numerous concert and jazz bands throughout his middle school, high school, and college careers. Ben also plays guitar and piano. In his free time, Ben enjoys taking his cat, Beef, on walks and listening to music.

Trombone
Mr. Ben Romig is entering his fourth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Information Technology: Software Development. He has played the trombone in the Bearcat Marching Band and Trombone Choir for three years. Ben is a sister of the Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, previously serving as the chapter’s Music Chair. He is also an annual senator for Band Council, the student social organization for the Bearcat Bands. Outside of band, he enjoys spending time with friends, writing music, and playing tennis.

Tuba
Will Gaines is entering his fifth year at the University of Cincinnati and the UC Bearcat Bands. He majors in Architecture and has been a part of the marching band, pep band, and concert bands playing Tuba during his time at UC. He also participated in Drum Corps International with the Blue Stars in 2019 and Troopers in 2018. Outside of band, he enjoys following and cheering on Cincinnati in all collegiate and professional sports, online gaming with friends, and indulging in a tasty Raising Cane's Box Combo.

Percussion
Ms. Catherine D'Amico is entering her fourth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Architecture at DAAP. She has played bass drum in the marching and pep band for the past 3 years, as well as participated in the percussion section for the advanced concert band. When not doing band or school, she likes to spend her time outdoors hiking with friends and family.
Mr. Tyler Hines is a third-year student at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Secondary Education, Mathematics emphasis. Graduating from Fairfield High School where he played tenor drums for two years, Tyler was a leader for two years in his high school concert band and one year in his high school marching band. This year marks his second year leading the tenor drum section at UC. Aside from band, Tyler enjoys playing video games and board games with friends, playing pranks, and drawing.
Ms. Gabby Pant is in her fourth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. She has played crash cymbals in the marching band and pep band for the past three and a half years. Outside of band she is involved with Linder Women In Business and advocates for transfer and transition Bearcats from satellite schools in the UC system. She enjoys photography and spending time with her friends.
Mr. Robby Strang is a second-year student at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Construction Management. He graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, Ohio where he was a four year member of the band and was a leader in the program his senior year. This will be his second year as a member of the front ensemble and he also participated in the percussion ensemble at UC. Outside of band, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and watching sports.
Color Guard
Madison is entering her fourth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Cybersecurity and Networking/Systems as well as minoring in Criminal Justice. This will be her fourth year with the UC color guard. Madison is also a sister of UC's band service sorority, Tau Beta Sigma. Outside of UC guard, Madison is the Assistant Color Guard Director at Oak Hills High School as well as a two-year veteran member of Onyx World Guard. Outside of the color guard realm, Madison enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with her friends as well as her cat Cinnamon Bun.
Miss Madison Pennell is entering her fourth year at the University of Cincinnati. She majors in Chemistry with a certificate in medical ethics. She has spun in the band's color guard for the past three years and served as a section leader in the 2020 fall season. Madison is a sister of the Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, the band's honorary service sorority. Outside of band, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering, and reading.
Ms. Madelyn Shelton is entering her fifth year at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Neurobiology and Neuropsychology with certificates in Premedical and American Sign Language. She has spun with the UC guard in the fall and spring seasons for the past five years. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, a social sorority on campus, and is a Cincinnatus scholar. Outside of UC band she has spun with Black Diamond Independent (2019, 2020, and 2021). Maddy is from Fort Thomas, Kentucky, spinning 12 seasons at Highlands High School. She enjoys traveling, watching the Chicago Cubs, and feeding giraffes.
