University of Cincinnati Law School hosts third annual Bearcat Dash and Bash
Get ready to celebrate the third annual Bearcat Dash and Bash starting at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 7, at the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium. The exciting UC Law tradition features several events including the signature 18.19K and 5K races. And this year marks the introduction of the Future Bearcats Dash which will last 100 yards –for all those future UC Bearcats.
All races begin and end on UC’s campus, and participants will enjoy the sights and history of the campus while running. Runners will also get the chance to watch themselves cross the finish line on Nippert Stadium’s jumbotron along with having their finisher’s photo taken.
Also new this year, runners can team up for both the 5K and 18.19K races. Teams can raise money together and enjoy running together as a group in matching outfits or speeds.
Race Day
The 18.19K begins at 8:30am, the 5K begins at 9:00am, and the Future Bearcats Dash begins at 10:00am.

- Thursday, October 4th, 4-7pm at Fleet Feet, 3235 Madison Rd. in Oakley
- Friday, October 5th, 10am-noon, Fleet Feet, 3235 Madison Rd. in Oakley
- Friday, October 5th, 4 pm – 7 pm, Woodburn Brewery, 2800 Woodburn Ave.,
45206 (East Walnut Hills, DeSales Corner area) - Saturday, October 6th—Grid tailgate area before the Bearcats game.
South end of Grid nearest the stadium. time determined by game time - Sunday, October 7th, before the race, 7 am to 8:15 near the start line.
Prizes will be awarded on race day by age group and gender. Runners from the 18.19K and 5K will receive a free t-shirt with registration, and finisher medals will be distributed in Nippert.
Runners and spectators are invited to celebrate at the Bash following the races in Nippert. The Bash will have live music, and free food and drink for race participants.
Registration
Register online today on the event website, www.bearcatsdash.com. Online registration closes Oct. 5. Runners can also register on race day up until 30 minutes before the start of the race near the starting line at Sigma Sigma Commons.
All proceeds from the event go towards the Ohio Innocence Project and the University of Cincinnati’s Athletic Scholarship Fund.
