UC Clermont holds Veterans’ Social
College offers ample opportunities for education, careers
UC Clermont College will host a social event for military veterans Tuesday, May 7, 5:30-7 p.m. at Jungle Jim’s, 4450 Eastgate South Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.
Veterans can enjoy drinks and appetizers while learning more about the benefits and opportunities available at UC Clermont College. UC Veterans’ Programs & Services and UC Clermont admissions representatives will be on hand to answer questions and explain the admissions process. In addition, Clermont County Veterans’ Services Commission and VetSuccess on Campus will also be at the event. Those who attend can have their $50 application fee waived as well.
“UC Clermont is an excellent choice for veterans who wish to begin or further their college education,” said Jennifer Radt, senior director of student affairs. “Class sizes are small, and students receive personal attention and are a part of the larger University of Cincinnati system. The UC Alumni Association (UCAA) will host its annual Alumni Celebration during Alumni Week, April 13-18, with a community art project commemorating this year’s slate of alumni honorees receiving the organization’s top awards. Taking place April 16 at the First Financial Center (Cincinnati Convention Center), the Alumni Celebration will recognize the 18 honorees for their individual and collective innovation and impact, and the resulting impact on their university, communities, and fields of endeavor.
