Cancer Network, a publication of the academic journal Oncology, reported on researchers at the UC Medical Center Proton Therapy Center offering a clinical trial looking at the use of proton radiotherapy as a treatment option for midstage lung cancer. It quotes Dr. Emily Daugherty, assistant professor of radiation oncology at UC and a UC Health radiation oncologist.

Leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of Cincinnati, Rivera set out to study abroad for a transformative semester in this Central American country, rich with vibrant biodiversity and cultural heritage.
