CCM alumni celebrate Bicentennial in Taiwan
A group of College-Conservatory of Music alumni presented a concert in Taiwan on Nov. 1 to celebrate the culmination of the University of Cincinnati’s Bicentennial year. As they developed the musical program prior to its performance, group members recalled many fond memories of their time in Cincinnati — a piece that one of the quartets had first played together on stage, to another that a trio had performed to win a competition.
Performed in Taipei City’s Eslite Performance Hall before an audience of more than 250, the concert was presented in collaboration with the UC Taiwan Alumni Club. Videos and photos of UC’s campus were projected throughout the performance, and greetings were shared by UC President Neville Pinto, UC Foundation President Peter Landgren, and Taiwan Alumni Club president Eric Chen, CEAS ’79. It was a memorable evening full of Bearcat spirit and beautiful music.
