UC Clermont hosts ‘Divided Images’ exhibit

Art gallery features work by local painter

The exhibition “Divided Images,” featuring paintings by artist Emil Robinson, is on display in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College Now through February 27. A reception will be held February 4, 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the gallery.

Emil Robinson is a Cincinnati-based painter and assistant professor at the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. Robinson has been featured in multiple local, national and international exhibitions.

“I believe in the power of painting to communicate something mysterious. As a representational painter there are nameable things in my paintings. However, I am invested in the un-nameable as my primary pursuit,” Robinson said about his work for “Divided Images.”

The Park National Bank Art Gallery is located in the Snyder Building on the UC Clermont College campus in Batavia at 4200 Clermont College Drive. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.  For more than 20 years, the spacious 1,000-square-foot gallery has offered visual art exhibits open to UC Clermont students, faculty, staff and the general public.
