All University of Cincinnati students, regardless of means or college affiliation, can get a professional portrait to use on their LinkedIn profile, Handshake profile, and anywhere they need to present themselves professionally.
The photo booth is located in the Bearcat Promise Career Studio (Tangeman University Center Room 310).
The photo booth is available during the Career Studio's walk-in hours. Currently those hours are Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
How to Get a Professional Portrait
To get a professional portrait, the process is simple:
- Make an appointment in Handshake for a 10-minute Free Professional Headshot.
- Come professionally dressed to the Bearcat Promise Career Studio in Tangeman University Center (TUC) Room 310 and show your green COVID Check pass.
- Sit for your portrait. Follow the on-screen prompts to provide your email address and accept the terms.
- Instantly receive your digital photos in your inbox.

What does it cost?
Portraits are free to current University of Cincinnati students, including graduate students.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes. To allow us to sanitize the booth between each use, students have to schedule an appointment time.
How many different shots do I get?
You'll get three different shots.
How long does it take?
The process takes about five minutes.

How should I dress for my portrait? What does it mean to dress professionally?
Generally, professional dress means a dark suit and solid-color shirt or blouse. For tips, see how to dress for an interview.
Can UC faculty or staff use the booth?
The photo booth is intended as a benefit for UC students. UC faculty and staff are encouraged to use UC Creative Services photographers to take professional portraits.
