This year, the university is celebrating the return of UC Serves on May 19, a day for staff and faculty to share the experience of intentional, focused service to the communities surrounding the University of Cincinnati campuses and beyond. The day of service helps connect UC with community neighbors and build stronger connections among university employees. UC Serves brings staff and faculty to the front lines in supporting UC’s institutional commitment to service and community impact in support of our local nonprofit partners.

This year, participants are invited to register for one of over 70 projects. Service projects are located all around Cincinnati and appeal to a wide variety of interest. Animal lovers might enjoy planting gardens at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden or providing horse spa treatments at Milestone Equestrian Achievement Center. Creative and artistic employees can apply their skills by sewing bags out of polyester banners for the Remake Project or helping paint the Life Learning Center. From elementary school field days to landscaping to preparing and delivering meals and much more, there is something for everyone at UC Serves.
