Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announces appointment to UC Board of Trustees

Kerry Byrne has been appointed to the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, for a term beginning March 4 and ending Jan. 1, 2033.

UC alumnus Kerry Byrne, president of Total Quality Logistics, has been appointed to the UC Board of Trustees.

“I am excited to welcome Kerry to the UC board,” said Phil Collins, chair of the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. “He is an alumnus with a distinguished record of service and commitment to the university. As president of Total Quality Logistics, he brings tremendous skills and experience to his role as a trustee, and I look forward to working with him.”

Byrne, a 1987 Lindner College of Business graduate, was the 2023 recipient of the Carl H. Lindner Award for Outstanding Business Achievement.

 “Kerry’s heart for our city and loyalty to his alma mater is truly impressive,” said UC President Neville G. Pinto. “His leadership in the business community has been transformative, and I look forward to his contributions as a UC trustee. Kerry is an incredible example of the wonderfully talented alumni UC produces who are making an indelible mark on our world.”

CCM and UC Athletics partner on state-of-the-art live broadcast studio

Media Production students work on live broadcasts with UC Athletics in a new, state-of-the-art sports media broadcast control room at UC College-Conservatory of Music. CCM Media Production and UC Athletics are working collaboratively on the university's sporting events, producing video board displays and live, multi-camera sports broadcasts for the ESPN+ streaming service since Fall 2020 from the Nippert Stadium control room. Now, with the addition of the new CCM sports media broadcast control room, video teams can cover multiple events at the same time.
