Curious to know where the 2024 Tony Award nominees received their theatre education? Playbill created a list of the eight schools that contain the most Tony nominees — and UC's College-Conservatory of Music is tied for third.
Four UC College-Conservatory of Music alumni are named nominees in the 77th annual Tony Awards, recognizing the excellent work shared in Broadway productions during the 2023-24 season. The nominees include Shoshana Bean (BFA Musical Theatre, '99), Isabella Byrd (BFA Lighting Design and Technology, ’09), Dorian Harewood and Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (BFA Musical Theatre, '99). Taking a second look at surgery eligibility for patients with lung cancer who smoke

Researchers at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine have found that patients who continue to smoke ahead of lung cancer surgery have a higher risk of pulmonary complications, but their short-term mortality rate is similar to patients who were able to stop smoking before surgery..
