Harmonizing for a cause: Music Hall blood drive returns
Hoxworth Blood Center and local arts organizations unite to save lives in Greater Cincinnati
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is excited to announce the return of the Lifesaving as an Art Blood Drive, hosted by Music Hall on Aug. 6th. Hoxworth is partnering with seven renowned local arts organizations to make a significant impact on the community.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Cincinnati Arts Association, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and Friends of Music Hall will come together to host an open public blood drive in the ballroom at Music Hall.
In a beautiful blend of creativity and giving back, the Arts in Healing association will feature free performances from six local artists every hour, including Kelly Richey, Wild Carrot, Lauren Wilson, Dan Erdman, Kyle Meadows and Pam Jurgens. Complimentary parking will be provided to all donors by SP+ Parking in the surface lot next to Music Hall.
As a thank you gift, every donor will receive a free FC Cincinnati “I Bleed Orange and Blue” T-shirt and special gifts from Music Hall sponsors.
“The Music Hall blood drive has become a cornerstone event for our community, bringing together the love of arts and the spirit of giving,” says Caroline Alquist, MD, PhD, co-chair & CEO of Hoxworth Blood Center. “Cincinnati's vibrant arts community continues to play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to save lives, and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing collaboration.”
This year, Hoxworth Blood Center calls upon all patrons of the arts and music lovers to join the Hoxworth Heroes and make a life-saving donation. The need for blood is critical during the summer months, and each donation directly supports over 30 hospitals in the Tri-state area, helping save lives in our neighborhoods.
Due to the popularity of this event, appointments for blood donation are highly encouraged. Donors can schedule their appointment by calling 513-451-0910, downloading the Hoxworth app, or visiting Hoxworth.org/groups/musichall.
Together, let's create a symphony of support and make a lasting impact on the community. Join Hoxworth Blood Center on Aug. 6th and be a part of this unique and life-saving experience.
