Get your shred on during Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Paper shred events on Oct. 7 and 28
The Office of Information Security invites all University of Cincinnati students, faculty and staff to drop off personal, work-related and study-related documents at the Cybersecurity Awareness Month shred events.
The events will take place Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Bearcat Commons, Lot A (Uptown West Campus behind the Arts & Sciences Building) and Tuesday, Oct. 28, outside of the Health Sciences Building (Uptown East/Medical Campus on Panzeca Way), from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until the truck is full!).
OIS staff will remain present to ensure that all documents received are properly destroyed.
Before You Come: If needed, please fill out the University Records Disposal Form. If you're new to this process, more information, as well as a link to the form, can be found on the Bearcats Landing Transfer and Disposal page (UC login required).
Please note: All metal, including paper clips and hanging file folders must be removed in advance; staples are permissible. Plastic also needs to be removed — comb bindings, transparencies, Polaroid pictures, Tyvek envelopes. Anything that cannot be torn is not acceptable.
