LISTEN: Cincinnati Spotlight on CCM's Moveable Feast

UC College-Conservatory of Music hosts its Moveable Feast fundraising gala live and in-person on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. Elaine Cox, Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations at CCM, shares details about the event with Elaine Diehl on WGUC's Cincinnati Spotlight; listen to the interview

Elaine Diehl: UC's College-Conservatory of Music presents the first in-person Moveable Feast since COVID. Here's CCM's Elaine Cox.

Elaine Cox: Moveable Feast is a fundraiser for CCMpower, which is our voluntary advisory board at the college that collectively raises money for student scholarships, master classes, conference fees — all kinds of things that support students. By attending, you then become a CCMpower member and get invited to lots of other things happening at CCM all throughout the year. It is 100% family-friendly, it is completely open to the public. It's a musical feast as well as a literal feast — we are partnering with EatWell catering this year to provide delicious bites and libations all throughout CCM. We're looking to pair the types of food with the performances you'll experience in each venue or location, so it's really a feast for all of your senses. Moveable Feast will take place all throughout CCM's main buildings on Friday, Jan 24 starting at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and performances starting at 7:30 p.m.

Elaine Diehl: And how does the evening work?

Elaine Cox: The evening kicks off with a performance by CCM's Wind Symphony and then from there you can choose two hours of a build-your-own performance schedule. And then we all meet together at the end of the evening with remarks from our Dean Peter Jutras, who joined CCM in August of this year, and then we wrap up with a performance from CCM's Philharmonia. And then the CCM Jazz Orchestra is hosting the official after party. We are really excited to bring back Moveable Feast. We are inviting audiences to rediscover the magic and the things that they would find familiar, but also to experience new programs that have really blossomed at CCM over the past 5 years.
