CCM Choirs and Concert Orchestra unite for Sept. 26 performance
The concert features Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony and Mozart's Requiem; tickets on sale now
UC College-Conservatory of Music presents "Beyond The Note," a concert featuring the CCM Concert Orchestra, Chamber Choir and Chorale at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 in Corbett Auditorium.
The performance showcases two monumental works which, despite being partially unfinished by their composers, have become titans of the symphonic repertoire. Aik Khai Pung, CCM Professor of Music and CCM Concert Orchestra music director, leads the ensemble in Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor “Unfinished”, D. 759. Joe Miller, Director and Professor of Choral Studies, leads the orchestra and choirs in W.A. Mozart's Requiem K. 626, which features student soloists Maya Vansch, soprano; Stella Fitzgerald, mezzo-soprano; Eric Reidel, tenor; and Ethan Neal, baritone.
