Feb. 1-28: Hoxworth vintage crewneck
Hoxworth Blood Center is celebrating its 1938 founding and Cincinnati’s rich history with a special February donor gift. For more than 87 years, local donors have helped save lives at Cincinnati area hospitals. That’s neighbors helping neighbors, generation after generation.
In 1938, as Cincinnati marked historic moments like Johnny Vander Meer’s back-to-back no-hit games and continued its recovery from the 1937 Ohio River flood, Hoxworth began its life-saving mission. This February, donors can honor that shared legacy by giving blood and receiving a vintage 1938 crewneck sweatshirt at the seven Neighborhood Donor Centers and select mobile drives while supplies lasts.
Schedule a February donation and help continue Cincinnati’s tradition of saving lives close to home.
Join the Hoxworth mission
As we dig out from recent winter weather and get back to our normal routines, it’s important to remember that the need for blood never stops. Patients in local hospitals rely on donors throughout the year to give the gift of life, so they can have a brighter tomorrow. Whether you’re a new donor or you’ve been around for decades, every donation saves local lives. We look forward to seeing you soon!
