CCM Media Production hosts student film screening at Washington Park
Watch five original student films from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13
Event Information
The BFA Media Production program at UC's College-Conservatory of Music hosts a film screening of five original student films from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. Film lovers can attend the free screening at the Sherwin-Williams Porch at Washington Park.
Audiences can enjoy short films created by the next generation of filmmakers, including mini-documentary "Battle of the Bands," fictional stories "Moxie," "Raisins" and "Unseen;" and "Worry Worry," a music video for local Cincinnati band, Wax. The short films star CCM Acting students and guests. Learn more about each short film created by CCM Media Production students below.

Battle of the Bands
Battle of the Bands is a short documentary that shows how University of Cincinnati students love for local music translates to a love of their community. Featuring interviews with members of the UC Music Club, viewers learn about how students are impacting their community through music.

On what should be the happiest day of her life, a bride buckles under mounting anxiety and flees her own wedding—only to discover freedom, clarity and a spark of joy waiting outside. Meanwhile, the groom spirals into chaos before finding unexpected release in the celebration around him. Equal parts cinematic, chaotic and cathartic, Worry Worry becomes a visual duet between panic and liberation.

About CCM Media Production
CCM’s Media Production Division emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning that is student-centered, professionally relevant and focused on creative content development.
CCM Media Production is student centered with small class sizes and an innovative, flexible curriculum that reflects the dynamics of industry demands and student needs. CCM's Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Media Production features five curricular tracks, allowing students to specialize in:

- Multimedia
- Sports Media
Students in CCM's Media Production Division acquire the hands-on skills and digital portfolio necessary to transition successfully into the professional world. In addition to classwork, students are connected with professional internships that are integrated into the curriculum. The division’s award-winning, full-time faculty has extensive professional media backgrounds that allow them to emphasize current professional media production tools and techniques while providing students with connections to the industry.
CCM also offers an Academic Minor in Media Production, which prepares students in the integrated media arts of film and digital cinema, television and broadcast media news, audio production, and new media design.

Audiences are invited to return to the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music’s (CCM) concert halls and theaters to experience world-class performances and presentations by the next generation of performing and media artists! The college’s fall 2022 schedule of free and ticketed events is now available. Tickets go on sale beginning on Monday, Aug. 22, through the CCM Box Office website.
