2007 Faculty Awards: Achievement, Commitment Celebrated from Across the University

Achievement in a university climate is not an interest limited to students.

Faculty strive every day to reach goals, to pass on to their students the best traditions of their profession.

Many times, these are quiet transactions, the kind of exchanges of knowledge, experience and guidance that give meaning and depth to a college education. Sometimes, though, those efforts are so obvious and so plentiful that they command attention and recognition from peers and students.

Recognizing those achievements is what UC’s Faculty Awards Celebration is all about. (To view a Webcast of this year's ceremony, go to: http://www.uc.edu/news/NR.asp?id=5767)

Great efforts in teaching, research and service are celebrated each spring by the university community, in some cases continuing traditions that stretch across several decades.
