President Ono Interviews the Honorable Andrew J. Young

Andrew J. Young, a longtime civil and human rights activist and a close associate of Martin Luther King Jr., was interviewed by President Santa J. Ono while he visited campus to speak to the Class of 2014 at the December Commencement for undergraduates. They discussed Young's Commencement speech, challenges in the U.S. criminal justice system, Ralph David Abernathy, President Jimmy Carter, Gandhi, his fondest memory of Dr. King and other topics. Engineers develop deft solution to orient robots in space

To keep a repair robot stable while fixing satellites in space, University of Cincinnati engineers took a page from experts in balance: bull riders. UC College of Engineering and Applied Science graduate student James Talavage and Professor Ou Ma looked at simple but effective ways for a robot to maintain orientation while working on a broken satellite in zero gravity.
