EXPRESS SCRIPTS AND MAIL ORDER MEDICATIONS
Consider using Express Scripts, Anthems prescription home delivery service, for the purchase of maintenance medications. This service is available to all UC Anthem members. (AAUP members are not required to use mail order for maintenance medications although many AAUP take advantage of mail order because of its convenience.) It is a convenient and cost-effective way to receive maintenance medications delivered to your door step.
If you are a PPO (non-AAUP) member, a 30-day supply of a maintenance medicine may be filled two times at a regular local pharmacy for the regular copayment. After that, if a maintenance medicine is filled at a local pharmacy, the cost will be twice the regular copayment. Prescriptions for 90-day supplies at retail pharmacies are not available.
AAUP PPO and all HDHP Plan members are not required to use Anthem Home Delivery and may purchase many maintenance medications from a retail pharmacy. Please consult the following list at

or call Anthem Customer Service at 1-844-249-5372 for additional information.
To find what tier or price level in which your drug falls, please consult this list:

Anthem reserves the right to modify the list of maintenance medications or Tier levels. These medication lists are
similar
but not identical to those under the Humana plan. Members may find that drugs categorized as maintenance medications by Humana are not categorized in the same manner by Anthem. A drug not categorized as a maintenance medication cannot be filled for more than 30 days at retail for either the PPO (AAUP) or the HDHP. Carriers may require step therapy, impose quantity limits or require pre-authorization prior to approving payment for a prescribed medication. Requirements often vary by carrier. Questions you have should be directed to Anthem at 844-249-5372.
