SuccessFactors Makes UC's Hiring Process Easier

The University of Cincinnati recently launched SuccessFactors, a new online recruitment system. It is designed to make the recruitment process easier for job candidates as well as search committee members, position managers and interviewers.

Kristen Suter, the HR Administrator in UC Information Technologies (UCIT), is a big fan.

“SuccessFactors is a true reflection of the initiative and ever-present drive at UC to consistently improve upon the university experience for all,” Suter said. “This tool allows users, both internal and external, to feel welcomed to the university from the moment they apply. It is a big step into a bright future for talent acquisition at UC.”

SuccessFactors incorporates:

  • Electronic interface with UC Flex to create/update employee records quickly and accurately.

  • More efficient workflow, reducing the number of stops in the recruiting and hiring process.

  • Increased ability to attract top talent and reach a diverse pool of qualified candidates.

  • Creation of a positive candidate experience, including the ability to check application status via the recruitment portal.

  • Enhanced reporting capabilities.

  • Tools to improve selection decisions.

"We can get positions posted faster,” Suter said. “SuccessFactors cuts down the processing side a lot. It’s great!”

On April 8, internal and external candidates can access job postings at

. Human Resources will also begin recruitment marketing initiatives so potential employees can apply from their smartphones, tablets or via their LinkedIn accounts.
