Give Blood and Hoxworth Will Give to Nepal Relief Effort

Thousands of people have tragically perished and thousands more are injured following the earthquake in Nepal and Hoxworth Blood Center is dedicated to helping the relief effort. Those directly affected by the tragedy are in immense need of food, water and other essentials.

This Friday, May 1, Hoxworth Blood Center and all blood donors will support the people of Nepal while serving local patients in need. Hoxworth will donate $5 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for each blood donation made at a Hoxworth donor center or blood drive.

“Not only will you be helping to save local lives but your goodwill effort will go further by helping those in Nepal,” said Alecia Lipton, public information officer at Hoxworth.

The following Neighborhood Donor Centers are open on Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Blue Ash; Ft. Mitchell; Mason; Tri-County; Western Hills.

Blood products donated at Hoxworth will not go to Nepal, but will be used for local patients in need.

Schedule an appointment to donate by calling (513) 451-0910 or visit www.hoxworth.org
