UC Surplus Holds Public Sale on June 6

The next UC Surplus Equipment Department's public sale is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 6, at the facility located at 5121 Fishwick Drive.

Special inventory to be offered includes:

  • Three vehicles including a 1992 Ford E-150 cargo van, 1994 Chevrolet Lumina sedan and 1994 Chevrolet cargo van
  • A supply of LCD projectors
  • Several laptops and desktops, mostly Dell
  • $2-a-gallon remnant paint
  • A pool table and a foosball table
  • Lab stools at $15 each
  • A big selection of lab glass
  • Artwork, including many large wall pieces
  • A selection of plasma and LCD TVs
  • An Ahrens Sweepstar 936 power sweeper marked down to $175
  • Additions to the Surplus Management book library at $2 each
  • A large selection of home and office furniture, including computer tables, office desks, shelves, cabinets, couches and lounge chairs
  • Many other unique lab and electronic items

Purchases can be made via check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or money order, but no cash is accepted.

Do you have a favorite film music theme? Have you ever wondered how film scores come to life? Discover the art of film scoring during the one-day Film Scoring Summit at UC's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Led by Professor Jasmine Guo, the Film Scoring Summit is a free event for rising 10th-12th grade students. Participants will delve into the magic of music in film, experiment with scoring and learn about CCM's Commercial Music Production (CMP) program. The Summit ends with a tour of CCM's recording studios and a Q&A session with faculty.
