Save Local Lives at 7th Annual Hero2Hero Blood Drive

Veterans Day is quickly approaching and Hoxworth Blood Center is hoping community members will step up to give life to local patients while also helping to give a piece of home to local servicemen and women.

Hoxworth will host its 7th Annual Hero2Hero Blood Drive Nov. 10-12 at any Neighborhood Donor Center or mobile blood drive.

When you roll up your sleeve to donate you won’t just be helping to save local lives; care packages with donated items from P&G, LaRosas, Gold Star, Skyline, Jenco Brothers, Cincinnati Magazine and Montgomery Inn will be sent to a local servicemen and women who are dedicating their time in the Middle East and on-board the U.S.S. George Washington.

“Our soldiers, who defend democracy and our values, save lives and are heroes – equally, our donors are local heroes saving lives and helping people in need,” said Dr. Ronald Sacher, director of Hoxworth Blood Center.

Schedule an appointment by calling (513) 451-0910 or visit www.hoxworth.org/hero2hero.

Donors will have the chance to sign a holiday greeting card that will be shipped in the care packages.

From the FC Cincinnati Blood Drive at TQL Stadium to an event honoring local blood recipient and cancer survivor John Mattingly, these blood drives offer meaningful ways to give back. Whether inspired by hometown pride or a powerful personal story, blood donors are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and help ensure life-saving blood is available for patients across the Tristate.
