UC Surplus Holds Public Sale, Nov. 7
A selection of the weird and wonderful will be up for grabs at this month's UC surplus management sale set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at

PLEASE NOTE:
UC Surplus Management is now using the new chip-enabled credit card readers. If your card has the new chip, it will be run using that process instead of the old card swipe process. Please be aware that
a small percentage of chip cards also require use of a pin number
. So if you were sent a pin number with your new card, you will need that pin number to complete a sale using that card. Your understanding is appreciated during the transition to this new process.
Special inventory to be offered includes:
- Four vehicles: 1996 Chrysler Cirrus, 1991 Chevy pickup, 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab HD2500 4WD, 1994 Oldsmobile Cierra
- Zero-turn mower with grass collector parts
- Multiple exercise machines
- Two glass trophy/display cases
- Industrial grill/press price reduced
- Flat-top light table and an adjustable drafting/light table
- Granite countertop sections

- Large supply of computer monitors
- Computers (without hard drives)
- Tall lab stools with arms at $10 each
- A selection of lounge chairs, couches, tables with matching chairs, end tables and coffee tables
- A large selection of new books added to the Surplus Management book library on sale, 2 for $1
- Office chairs, desks, tables, book shelves, filing cabinets and a huge supply of unique UC Surplus inventory.
Purchases can be made via check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or money order, but no cash is accepted.

University of Cincinnati college is piloting a program to serve alumni of foster and kinship care

In 2025 the Ohio Reach Postsecondary designation was awarded to UC's College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) as part of the program's third cohort. The program recognizes and supports higher education institutions that have worked to make their campuses welcoming and accessible for students with a history in foster or kinship care. CECH will run a pilot program called Anchor Point aimed at wide-scale implementation across the campus in Fall 2026.
