Blackboard Update Scheduled for Dec. 17

In preparation for the start of spring semester, several IT systems will be unavailable during planned maintenance windows around Winter Season Days (Thursday, Dec. 24-Sunday, Jan. 3).

  • 5-7 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17: Blackboard, the university’s learning management system, will be unavailable. PLEASE NOTE: Fall semester 2015 grades are due Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20: Starfish, the early alert system within Blackboard, will be intermittently unavailable.
  • 4 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21: The following services will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 15 minutes during a necessary network maintenance window:
    - Internet and network connectivity at UC Blue Ash, UC Clermont, UC East, remote locations of Hoxworth Blood Center, and Victory Parkway offices.
    - Video conferencing services.
    - Voicemail service to the entire university community.
    - VoIP (voice over IP) service to the entire university community.
    - Internet access at the Kingsgate Marriott Hotel located on the Medical Campus.
  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21: Echo360, the university's enterprise lecture-capture tool, will be unavailable.

Limited IT support during Winter Season Days

The IT@UC Service Desk will have limited staff available to respond only to IT emergencies and other major incidents during Winter Season Days. It features a world premiere piano concert and panel discussion at 6 p.m. on May 5, 2024 at the American Sign Museum.
