Celebrate National Volunteer Blood Donor Month
The frosty winter months are upon us, so come in to donate blood and go home with a coffee mug to help you keep warm!
January is National Volunteer Blood Donor Month and Hoxworth will be celebrating our life-saving donors by giving them an Every Drop Counts coffee mug at our Neighborhood Donor Centers through Jan. 30.
January is a special month for our blood center as we look forward to the New Year and the challenges that lie ahead, said Gregg Booth, Associate Director at Hoxworth. We, like all blood centers, are reliant on the graciousness of others to give both of their time and their blood to help their fellow man, especially in the winter season. Donations tend to slow and, at times, we can reach a point where literally Every Drop Counts in order to support the community need. Not only are we recognizing the importance of our donors during National Volunteer Blood Donor Month, but we hope that our small token of appreciation conveys the importance of our donors in helping patients in the Greater Cincinnati community. Thank you to each and every one of you for your commitment to blood donation.
