Come Out for the IT@UC Office of Information Security Spring Shred Event
The IT@UC Office of Information Security invites students, faculty and staff to securely shred their personal or professional documents at a spring shred event. Safely destroy and recycle sensitive documents such as old tax forms, bank statements or credit reports. The event takes place in Lot 13, outside of the Kettering Lab Complex on the Medical Campus, Thursday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the truck is full (10,000 pound limit).
All metal, including paper clips and hanging file folders, must be removed before dropping off documents to shred. Staples can remain on the documents, but all plastic must be removed as well. (Anything that cannot be easily torn is not permitted.)
Please note: university records must be destroyed in compliance with the universityÂ’s records management policy. Information on proper destruction of university records may be found at
