Personal Safety and Survival with Communiversity

UC Communiversity has teamed up with Daryl Tate, a former Defensive Tactics and Use of Force Coordinator with more than 20 years in law enforcement, to offer a self-defense strategy class so that you can be prepared…

just in case

. Tate has worked on the Mayor's Executive Protection Unit while working in Atlanta and has trained hundreds of officers and civilians in self-defense techniques.

Tate will dispel many of the myths created by the media and introduce you to the proper mindset for self-defense. Topics include assaults in public; home invasions; armed assailants; rape defense; the use weapons and legal considerations; common weapons to use at home; and effective striking methods.

This is a great session and very informative for college faculty/staff and students headed back to campus.

Class is held on Saturdays, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Oct. 8-22 at the Victory Parkway Campus.
