Ethics Training Offered on Oct. 24
All Ohio state agencies and those who represent or are employed by an Ohio state agency are subject to Ohio's Ethics Law. Ohio's Ethics Law became effective January 1, 1974, and was put in place to create high ethical standards for public officials and employees of state agencies. The University of Cincinnati is a state institution committed to excellence and the development of educated and engaged citizens. As such, we must hold ourselves to high ethical standards so that we set a good example for the community in which we live, work and serve.
Training sessions on best ethical practices will be offered on October 24, 2016. The training sessions will be provided by a representative from the Ohio Ethics Commission, the state agency designated to administer Ohio's Ethics Law (R.C. 102) and related statutes (R.C. 2921.42 and 2921.43). Attendees are encouraged to ask detailed questions about any ethics laws, especially those pertaining to outside activity reporting.
The first session will be held on Monday, October 24,2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Kresge Auditorium - Room E701 in the Medical Science Building on the East Campus. The second session will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in TUC 220 (Cinema) on Main Campus. A third session may be added later the same day depending on whether the first two sessions fill up. Each session will last approximately 90 minutes.
