Peer Education Network Seeks to Expand Reach at UC
The Peer Education Network, or PEN, is a University of Cincinnati collaborative created to elevate and streamline peer education efforts. Peer education is a process and pedagogy that deploys students to assist in the delivery of teaching or mentorship to each other. Peer education is a highly effective, cost-efficient tool for increasing learning and persistence through graduation as well as student satisfaction with their educational experience.
PEN embraces a strategic and consolidated effort around peer education that cuts across traditional silos. The PEN steering committee, a group of educators who are highly engaged in peer education efforts, is looking to learn more about additional faculty and staff who work with peer educators on campus and how PEN potentially could be of service to you and your peer education program. So, if you or your department utilize peer educators (or would like to in the future), we want to hear from you! Please
complete the following short survey
to help us gain a better understanding of how peer education is carried out at UC.
