UC Hosts Southwest Ohio DAMA Chapter Meeting July 27
University of Cincinnati faculty, staff, students and alumni and the local community are invited to attend the Southwest Ohio Data Management Association International (DAMA) meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27 in the Teachers-Dyer Complex, Room 160.
DAMA is devoted to supporting an empowered global community of information professionals. At this meeting, speaker Dr. Rado Kotorov, chief innovation officer at Information Builders, will speak on the topic of "Industry 4.0." This current stage of digital evolution is driving business trends and reshaping enterprise practices as digitizing end-to-end processes becomes a necessity for growth. More than 70 percent of enterprises have embarked on a digital transformation, and are now seeing that building an analytics culture is the key to success in a data-driven, organization-wide digital ecosystem.
The evening includes dinner, an introduction by UC associate professor of information technology Russ McMahon, Kotorov's presentation and a Q&A portion.
Tickets are free for DAMA members, $25 for non-members and $5 for students. Register for the meeting.

TREMOR is a performance art project created in response to Brianna Matzke's essential tremor diagnosis. It features a world premiere piano concert and panel discussion at 6 p.m. on May 5, 2024 at the American Sign Museum. The project also includes an art opening, with musical responses from local new-music ensemble concert:nova on April 28 at The Well.
