UC Pharmacy Faculty Recognized by AACP

Assistant Professor Ana Hincapie, PhD, has been recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) with the Best Social and Administrative Sciences Research Publication Award for her research:  "Relationship between Patients' Perceptions of Care Quality and Health Care Errors in 11 Countries: A Secondary Data Analysis."

The purpose of the study, says Hincapie, was to evaluate the association between patients' perceived health care quality and self-reported medical, medication, and laboratory errors in a multinational sample of 11 countries, as measured from survey data from the 2010 Commonwealth Fund International Health Policy Survey.

The award was established to recognize publication of high quality scholarship in the areas of discovery, integration, or application by members of the Social and Administrative Sciences Section at the AACP.

Hincapie was in attendance at the July 16, 2017, meeting to receive her award.
